When data and technology agency Planning-inc swapped their old offices in the West End for a large warehouse office space in SE1 they knew they wanted to create something that would capture the essence of their business.
That meant having a space that was dynamic, flexible and stylish. It also had to make staff feel part of the community, encourage growth and inspire creativity.
Managing director James Melhuish said: “Attracting, integrating and retaining staff is hugely important for us, and we wanted to provide a workspace that would enable them to not only feel at home, but also flourish.”
We listened to the brief and created a large open-plan office with plenty of natural light, a breakout kitchen and social space, and a striking feature moss wall. We kept the essence of the building intact, leaving exposed brickwork and beams for an industrial aesthetic, but combined it with soft finishes and pops of colour.
James added: “Our old office space was not particularly impressive or inspiring. What we have now is so much more than a functional space; we have created a stylish and collaborative environment that not only our staff love, but we consistently receive fantastic feedback from our clients. The work Action Workspace delivered not only enables us to retain top talent, but is also contributing to the growth of our business.”
